Business Mentorship Institute Of Saskatchewan Inc. (BMI)

How Do We Find Mentors?

What incentives can we provide to attract and retain mentors?
The benefits are intrinsic, but tangible. Mentoring programs provide an environment where participants will be able to reinforce their skills and knowledge base, share experience, and be challenged to grow in step with their protégés. They also provide an opportunity to leave a legacy.

Who would we source as mentors?
Anyone who has succeeded in business, and who has an interest in giving something back, is a candidate.

Where would these mentors come from?
Mentors for your program would come primarily from your local area. If further assistance is needed, contact our head office for further support.

How would we recruit local mentors?
As a community development organization you probably already spend a good deal of time interacting with the right people. When you talk to business leaders and business organizations in your community, let them know about mentoring opportunities.

How does BMI support us in finding, training and deploying mentors?
BMI is a network hub that serves Saskatchewan by providing community developers with access to a database of business mentors. If finding participants in your region is difficult, matches can be made with participants from neighbouring programs. Once mentors are recruited, BMI delivers on-site training and offers ongoing support to local coordinators on an as-needed basis.
